Teaser Tuesday (#37)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Today I will be doing things a little different. The book and teaser for this week is NOT the book I am reading. I have been asked to post a teaser from the book Black City because I am part of the Black City book tour. I am already done reading the book and loved it. :) So here is a little teaser from Black City. Be sure to stop by on Nov 12th for my review.

A thousand pale, famished Darklings stare back at us. Everything becomes deathly still, like the world is holding its breath. The Darklings don’t move at first, perhaps from shock or fear of reprisal. Then the scent of human blood hits them. The Darklings howl.
