--> Book Review: Betrayed - by P.C Cast & Kristin Cast <--

I read Betrayed by PC Cast and Kristin Cast a little over a week. This is the second book in the House of night series and it was amazing as the first one. So here is my review.

TitleBetrayed
Author: P.C Cast & Kristin Cast
Number of Pages: 310
Published: October 2nd 2007 by St. Martin's Griffin
Series: House of Night (#2)

GoodReads Info:
Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She’s come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs--like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend…or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

My Thoughts: (I gave this book 5 Stars)

Betrayed was just wow! Simply Amazing as the first. For page one I was hooked. This book picks up where Marked left off and I feel got even better. Zoey is not the leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons. She has a lot to handle getting ready for her first ritual. She finds herself crushing on one of her hot teachers with seems to like her as well. As well as Heath is back in the picture more than ever. Zoey is tore between three different love interest while dealing with "someone" is very much betraying her and her school. You will be so surprise who if you have not read this book. I will say something happen in this book than left in tears for hours. I wont give away thing away. All in all this book was an awesome read and I look forward to reading Choosen soon.

--> Book Review: Marked - by P.C Cast & Kristin Cast <--

I read Marked by PC Cast and Kristin Cast about a week. This is the first book in the House of night series and totally feel in love with it. So here is my review.

Title: Marked
Author: P.C Cast & Kristin Cast
Number of Pages: 306
Published: May 1st 2007 by St. Martin's Griffin
URL: http://houseofnightseries.com/
Series: House of Night (#1)

GoodReads Info:

The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed.  In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire--that is, if she makes it through the Change.  Not all of those who are chosen do.  It’s tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling.  She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx.  But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers.  When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny--with a little help from her new vampyre friends.

My Thoughts: (I gave this book 5 Stars)

When I first picked up this book I was not sure what to expect but from the first page I was hooked. It keep me laughing the whole way through. Zoey is a funny and refreshing character who grows on you. In the beginning of the book she gets Marked to become a Vampyre and join the House of Night. Not knowing what to think she joins making fast friends and even faster enemies. You learn about her Mark and how special she is and what comes along with this. As Zoey struggles to fit in at the HON she finds very odd things going on and some are more that she bargains for. This book is an amazing read. I am continuing the series. I so recommend this book to anyone who like Vampire novels. A pure joy to read and very funny!

Book Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

I just got done reading an truely amazing book called "The Iron King" written by Julie Kagawa . I wanted to post my short review on the book. I hope you enjoy it and decide to read this book if you have not already.

Title: The Iron King
Author: Julie Kagawa
Number of Pages: 363
Published: February 1st 2010 by Harlequin Teen

GoodReads Info:
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined…
Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

My Thoughts:  (I gave this book 4.5 Stars)
The Iron King is a brilliant book for many reason. You seen to get lost in this wonderland of a world the author writes about. In the beginning of the book through the end I felt deeply sorry for Meghan Chase. She is such a sweet girl who get
tossed into nevernever to try to find her brother who was taken by someone who she does not know. Meghan goes through many different hardships and looses her self along the way but finds love and friends. I did found myself getting bored in the middle of the book but then it took off and I could not stop reading. I loved this book and cant wait to pick up the next one to see where Meghan's journeys pick up at.

I wont give anymore away at this point you will have to pick up this book and read it. :) Enjoy!

--> Book Review: Need - By Carrie Jones <--

I just got done reading an amazing book called "Need" written by Carrie Jones. I wanted to post my short review on the book.

Title: Need
Author: Carrie Jones
Number of Pages: 306
Published: December 23rd 2008 by Bloomsbury USA Children's Books
URL: http://www.needpixies.com/

GoodReads Info:

Zara White suspects there's a freaky guy semi-stalking her. She's also obsessed with phobias. And it's true, she hasn't exactly been herself since her stepfather died. But exiling her to shivery Maine to live with her grandmother? That seems a bit extreme. The move is supposed to help her stay sane...but Zara's pretty sure her mom just can't deal with her right now.

She couldn't be more wrong. Turns out the semi-stalker is not a figment of Zara's overactive imagination. In fact, he's still following her, leaving behind an eerie trail of gold dust. There's something not right - not human - in this sleepy Maine town, and all signs point to Zara.

In this creepy, compelling breakout novel, Carrie Jones delivers romance, suspense, and a creature you never thought you'd have to fear

My Thoughts:

Need is one of my favorite books I have read in a long time. It was fast pasted and very fun to read.

Zara looses her Step-Father and finds herself loosing herself in the process when her Mother makes her move to Maine to be with her Grandma. She makes friends fast and more than she bargains for. She is caught is a fantasy world with pixies, shifters and more. Along the way she finds love and her long lost Father whom is more than normal.

A pure joy to read and I loved this book, each and every page!
