The Gentle Dentist Blog Tour

The Last Gentle Dentist by Oliver Pearl
Paperback, 204 pages
Published August 25th 2012 by Author
Genre: Adult > Erotica

Based on actual events, spanning continents from San Francisco to Paris, from Amsterdam to Odessa, from New York to Siberia, The Last Gentle Dentist is a novel about a modern age Casanova, a romantic-vigilante, who is fond of pain medications and elective plastic surgery, whose life is a tumultuous river running with the speed of a putrid pond, which makes an unexpected turn when he goes on the run from the law due to charges of medical fraud. He wanders the streets of Europe looking for ways to stay. This search throws him into bony arms and narrow beds of people he meets, fugitives in their own right, only to bring to a new light his own immaturity and unscrupulousness he only yesterday called boyishness and charm. He revisits his recent past, ornate with Vicodin fountains and Ecstasy-laced threesome fenderbenders, while adding more crumpled and soon blood-stained pages to his love affair with Life.

"This town is like a fat broad. Ensconced on a couchette made of champignons and escargot, she gorges on wine and absinthe and bitter truffles. Her body is full of traps and round resting places. She is in no hurry. She has no appointments to make. She is the end of the road for a choosy traveler. She lets her every pit and fistful of skin be smelled and bitten and chewed on, and before he is half-through, she reaches for a grape and changes the landscape of her beauty forever. If the world lived in Paris, the world would be a better place."

Guest Post On Traveling to Paris

Andre Breton said,
"Oh Paris! You magnify me in my own site."
Unusual things do happen in Paris and not always around midnight. I wouldn't earn any points for being unique by saying that New York and Paris are my two favorite places to visit. It was fortunate that my protagonist and I shared this fascination and that he traveled to Paris and then as a fugitive to New York from where he disappeared for almost a decade. This last journey of his is described in the book and it wastes no time making the point that Paris can be visited in solitude to make one aware of how fascinating it would be to come here with someone to share it with. Or, Paris can be visited with someone only to leave one longing for solitude. There are too many streets to walk, benches to sit on and pigeons to feed. The air in Paris is thick with unfulfilled ambitions and vague promises. This city is filled with accents of its conquerors.
