Robin Talley Twitter Takeover! March 9th, 2-4pm EST

Robin Talley Twitter Takeover
Who: Fans of YA and Robin Talley!
What: Twitter Takeover. New York Times bestselling author Robin Talley will be discussing some of her "firsts" and answering reader questions about her books! (Lies We Tell Ourselves, What We Left Behind, As I Descended, and her latest release Our Own Private Universe)
When: March 9th, 2-4pm ET Where: @YoungEntmag
How: Head over to @YoungEntmag on March 9th at 2pm ET, follow along, and tweet your questions to Robin!
Why: Our Own Private Universe (HarlequinTeen; January 31, 2017) is a timely tale of self-discovery and social awareness, hailed by Kirkus in a starred review as “an important and heartfelt contribution to contemporary teen lit about queer women: hopeful, realistic, and romantic.”

About the Book: Fifteen-year-old Aki Simon has a theory. And it's mostly about sex.  No, it isn't that kind of theory. Aki already knows she's bisexual—even if, until now, it's mostly been in the hypothetical sense. Aki has dated only guys so far, and her best friend, Lori, is the only person who knows she likes girls, too.  Actually, Aki's theory is that she's got only one shot at living an interesting life—and that means she's got to stop sitting around and thinking so much. It's time for her to actually do something. Or at least try.  So when Aki and Lori set off on a church youth-group trip to a small Mexican town for the summer and Aki meets Christa—slightly older, far more experienced—it seems her theory is prime for the testing.

About the Author: Robin Talley, author of Lies We Tell Ourselves (September 2014), What We Left Behind (October 2015), As I Descended (September 2016), and Our Own Private Universe (January 2017), grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. A Lambda Literary Fellow, Robin now lives in Washington, D.C., with her wife, plus an antisocial cat and a goofy hound dog. When Robin’s not writing, she’s often planning communication strategies at organizations fighting for equal rights and social justice. You can find her on the web at www.robintalley.com or on Twitter at @robin_talley.

Hope to see you there!

Top Ten of 2014 - Day 4: Best Book Boyfriends Of 2014

Welcome to Day Four! CHRISTMAS!!!!!
Today's Top Ten is Best Book Boyfriends of 2014!

Today's list is my favorite one, Book Boyfriends. I am so excited to share with you all who we have chosen. Hillary and I once again will be splitting the list between us, 5 each. Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

Best Book Boyfriends of 2014  -

  • Beckie's Top 5 Book Boyfriends (in order of favorite)

1.
Roth from White Hot Kiss!
Who say that coming?!

WARNING! May cause fainting or/and drooling. (among other things, hehe) =D
I swear, I want this man's babies! Oops, did I say that out loud?! *blushes*

2.

*swoons* This bad a$$ holy hotness comes in at number two. Cole is a SexGOD! Need I say more?!

3.
Malachi from Guards of the Shadowlands series

Coming in at number 3, this sexy as sin man makes my heart soar and my knees weak. Malachi would do anything including risking his life for the ones he loves.

4.

Although not a bad boy, Finn take the number 4 spot. From the first time I read about Flinn in Born Wicked he held a special place in my heart. He's honest, caring, understanding, and so much more. He loves with his whole heart and can totally give me the warm fuzzies.

 5.
Cole from the Everneath series

Last but not least, Cole takes the final spot. A total bad boy turned good. Half the time I wanted to smack the crap out of him, and half the time I wanted to hug and kiss him. Sadly, in the end Cole "doesn't make it" - spoiler (to see copy the white spot with your mouse) but he will forever hold place in my heart.

  • Hillary's Top 5 Book Boyfriends

2.
Adrian from Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead

3.
Micah from The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes

4.
Braden from On The Fence by Kasie West

5.
Thomas from Porcelain Keys by Sarah Beard

Wee! That was fun! So many fictional men, so little time. *sigh* What do you think of our choices? Are there any you picked too? Leave us a comment! :) We'd LOVE to know.

Top Ten of 2014 - Day 3: Best Dual POV’s Of 2014

Welcome to Day Three! Today's Top Ten is Best Dual POV’s Of 2014.
(It was bloggers choice)

Hillary and I once again will be splitting the list between us, 5 each. Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

Today's Top Ten List is

- Best Dual POV’s Of 2014 -

  • Beckie's Top 5 Dual POV’s-ish (a couple books have more than 2)
1.
The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow

I loved seeing the story being told from all three sister's POV. Especially since  Savannah, Courtney, Peyton are so very different characters. (I know dual means two but I had to add this book)

2.
Take Me On (Pushing the Limits #4) by Katie McGarry

Katie McGarry is famous for writing her books in dual POV's between the main characters.
I loved getting to know West and Haley separately and seeing how each of the felt about each other. The best was seeing their different lives/stories become intertwined and they feel in love with each other.

3.
Wings (Black City #3) by Elizabeth Richards

This book quite possibly may be my favorite dual POV and not only in Wings but in the entire series. The way the author writes each character's POV gives the book so much more depth, and life.

4.
Very Bad Things by Susan McBride

I just finishing read this one a couple days ago and really, really enjoyed it. Susan tells the story from 3 different POV's. Katie, her boyfriend, Mark and Tessa. This is one of those books that if it wasn't told from more that one POV that the story was not work at all. To really understand the mystery you need to hear it from all of the main characters POV's.

5.
Forever (Temptation #3) by Karen Ann Hopkins

Forever is being told from again more that two POV's but it works. If you've read this series than you know what I mean. Karen Ann Hopkins has a way of making you fall in love with her characters, their hardships, and richly developing each main characters story.

  • Hillary's Top Dual POV’s
1.
The Edge of Always by J.A. Redmerski

2.
Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead

3.
The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

4.
My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal

5.
Panic by Lauren Oliver

Are there any books from our list that made yours? What book(s) did YOU think had the best dual POV's in 2014?
Leave us a comment! :) We'd LOVE to know.
