Quincie Morris has never felt more alone. Her parents are dead, and her hybrid-werewolf first love is threatening to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. Then, as she and her uncle are about to unveil their hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef. Can Quincie transform their new hire into a culinary Dark Lord before opening night? Can he wow the crowd in his fake fangs, cheap cape, and red contact lenses — or is there more to this earnest face than meets the eye? As human and preternatural forces clash, a deadly love triangle forms, and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who’s playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything? TANTALIZE marks Cynthia Leitich Smith’s delicious debut as a preeminent author of dark fantasy.

My Thoughts: (I gave this book 3 Stars)

Okay so I read this book about a month ago and just now getting around to doing this review. I was not sure what to expect with this book but I decided to read it. I can say it is not bad but not the best I have read. I like to storyline but I felt like I needed to walk away from the book for a bit maybe it would "wow" me later. I did enjoy reading it but the book just did not draw me in and hook me to reading it like a lot of other books I have read. So Quincie takes over her family restaurant when their former cook and friend is killed in the restaurant one night. She is worried about finding another cook to take his place and make there restaurant they way they like it... A Vampire Themed restaurant.  Little do Quincie and her friend know he is a real Vampire and befriending her to not only take over the restaurant but her as well. Her boyfriend which is a hybrid-werewolf seems to know the truth, but will he be to late to tell Quincie? You will have to read and find out. I would say to anyone who like Vamp books to give Tantalize a go. The book is not bad, but just not one that I would rave about. I do like the storyline, not dull at all. It was a fun read, and I will read book two. :)
