She's broken with guilt.
He harbors a chilling past.
It's safer if they keep their distance...
But, the echoes that linger connect them.
Returning to Hidden Pines is the last thing Allie Collins wants to do during her final summer before college. For her, the family cabin she spent her youthful summers in, now holds a dark memory that has haunted her every day for the last year.
While struggling to forget her past, Allie runs into Damien, a local rebel with secrets of his own. He's dark, dangerous and he keeps showing up when Allie least expects him to. She has every reason not to trust him. So why does she find herself opening up to him in a way she hasn't been able to with anyone?
As pieces of Damien’s identity emerge, answers to a rumored mystery begin to unfold. By the time Allie unearths the secrets of Damien’s past, she realizes just how intricately they are connected. Now she is caught in a dangerous battle that threatens her life and those she loves.
1.Winter or Summer?
Absolutely summer. I hate being cold! Having made a permanent move to Las Vegas, NV, two years ago, this works for me—especially given the record-breaking winter hitting other parts of the country. Thank you, Vegas, for practically feeling like summer in comparison to those other freezing states!
2. PC or Mac?
I grew up with PC and that’s what I know. Mac’s confuse me.
3. Historical Romance or Paranormal Romance?
Having never been much of a history buff anyway, I love Paranormal Romance. It’s not a genre I know how to write, but I enjoy reading them.
4. Bookmarks or dog-ear?
Bookmarks. Or, if you don’t have bookmarks lying around, grab anything else that will fit between the pages. It makes me sad seeing bent pages! Or get a Kindle. Problem solved! I love my Kindle.
5. Short chapters or long chapters?
Somewhere in the middle? I like chapters long enough to pull me into a scene if they can keep the pace moving.
6. Hero or Villain?
I’m a sucker for Heroes.
7. Zombies vs. Aliens? Who would win?
Aliens. Zombies are viscous but they’re pretty stupid, acting only on instinct (from my limited Zombie knowledge. World War Z almost gave me a heart attack, though, with the influx of adrenaline that took hours to subside!) Aliens tend to be viewed as futuristic and more advanced in technology and intelligence. And they fly! Total advantage.
8. Living in the year 1920 or 2099?
I have a fear of the unknown, especially that far in advance! I’ll take the ‘20s. I always wondered what I’d look like as a flapper. . . I’m not a fan of jazz but it was an exciting time!
9. Winning the lottery or Being a famous actress?
The introvert in me just cowered in the corner at the idea of being stuck in the limelight as an actress, and all the superficial pressures involved. Lottery please! I’d love to pay off my debts and then have some fun.
10. Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook. It feels more personal and I love all the pictures easily available. I’m still new to Twitter actually and not really a fan.
11. Having the ability to fly or turn invisible?
I occasionally experience flying dreams, even though there’s usually a fear of losing control and being blown away like a hot air balloon. . . Turning invisible is safer, but it’d be pretty cool rubbing elbows with Superman and the like.
12. 1000 dollars to shop at B&N or Amazon?
While I love the smell of B&N and browsing, Amazon tends to be cheaper and has more variety to offer. When you’re ready, I’ll take that $1000!
Thank you Erica for doing this fun this or that interview with me. I love like all of your answers. So very creative. :)

DeleteLove young adult sci-fi. Looking forward to checking this book out :)
ReplyDeleteI've read the summary of Lingering Echoes before and put it on my TBR list right away. I love mystery and intrigue and deep, dark secrets. I also loved the interview. Erica answered all of the questions like I would except for ALIENS!!! I'd rather run from Zombies and my two teenagers pretty much have me ready for the Zombie Apocalypse so that would be my choice, lol.
