Hey everyone!
Today I am super excited to bring my readers an author interview I had the pleasure to do with Victoria Scott. Victoria is a newly published author of the epic Dante Walker series (via Entangled Teen). Have YOU heard of these books? If not, YOU NEED TO!
So let's begin...
About The Author: Victoria Scott

Victoria Scott adores all things dark and creepy, and gets her best ideas while strolling through the eighteenth-century cemetery near her home. The Collector is Victoria’s first novel, and she is currently working on the second book in the Dante Walker trilogy. Her next project will be a teen thriller series called Fire and Flood. Victoria lives in Dallas with her husband and adores cotton candy. You can visit her online at: www.VictoriaScottYA.com.
1. When did you first start writing, The Collector?
Where did the idea for the book come from? I stared writing THE COLLECTOR about two years ago. I wanted to tell a story from the devil's perspective. When I thought that might be too heavy, I downgraded to the devil's employee. I like to say the idea came from Dante Walker, because once I had that boy in my head, I had to write a story for him.
2. What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
I like when Dante first sticks up for Charlie. It's at Taylor's house party, when Charlie gets left behind in the woods.
3. What age groups do you recommend for the readers of The Collector?
I'd say this is for upper teen.
4. Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Kiersten White's voice influenced me quite a bit. She showed me that the main character can be light and funny while maintaining a dark story line.
5. If your book were made into a movie, who do you picture playing each characters part?
I'd want Zac Efron for Dante Walker and Emma Watson for Charlie Cooper.
6. Randomness: Say Dante Walker (Mr. Sexy) walked into a Starbucks and wants to order a drink. What does he order?
First of all, he'd probably cut in line because he's an a-hole. Then he'd try to flirt with the barista. In the end, he'd order a grande coffee, black, because he doesn't mess with stuff like sugar and whipped toppings and mocha syrups and that kind of girly crap.
7. Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?
I love you guys so much! Thank you for giving Dante Walker books a chance!
About The Books
The Collector (Dante Walker #1) by Victoria Scott
He makes good girls...bad.Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome, and he knows it. His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence have made him one of hell’s best—a soul collector. His job is simple: weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp. Old Saint Nick gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones. Bag-and-tag.Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante’s an equal-opportunity collector and doesn't want it any other way. But he’ll have to adjust, because Boss Man has given him a new assignment:Collect Charlie Cooper’s soul within ten days.Dante doesn't know why Boss Man wants Charlie, nor does he care. This assignment means only one thing to him, and that’s a permanent ticket out of hell. But after Dante meets the quirky Nerd Alert chick he’s come to collect, he realizes this assignment will test his abilities as a collector…and uncover emotions deeply buried.
The Liberator (Dante Walker #2) by Victoria Scott
Bad boy, meet bad girl.Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance. When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard. With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the interview. Do these books sound amazing or what?
Love this book!! Can't wait until The Liberator is finally released and into my hands!! :) Love Q #2 & 5. Love that Dante stick up for Charlie. 5) I have been going around in circles trying to figure out who could play Dante well, no one could possibly compare to the Dante I've pictured in my head, but Zac is an awesome choice :) And I can totally see Emma Watson playing Charlie too :) Great interview with an awesome author :)
