I love that it's based off of an Edgar Allen Poe poem; that's a very interesting concept, and I want to see how the story is retold.
ReplyDeleteI think one of the reasons I want to read of Monsters and Madness is because it's a retelling of Edgar Allen Poe's writing. The other reason would be because I don't read too many creepy stories and I definitely should! I guess I'm just picky :p Thanks Beckie!

After reading Bethany Griffin's Masque of the Red Death retelling and Kelly Creagh's Nevermore series (at least the first two books, the third one's STILL not out :C), I'm intrigued by all Poe retellings, even if I don't love the original stories...

ReplyDeleteI've loved Poe since I was an adolescent - my mom had an old collection/anthology of his stories & poems. My favorite was The Balloon Hoax!! :)
First of all I love the cover and I love gothic. My favorite Poe story is The Tell-Tale Heart. I once memorized the story and gave my rendition for a project in English class.
